Argenta Trumpets
Introduced in 1959, the Argenta trumpet is
essentially a solid nickel silver version of the
large-bore Contempora trumpet,
available with and without the first-valve tuning
trigger.

Note: Models are listed in
a
1973
price list, but not the 1977 catalog. At least one sample of an unassembled "new old
stock" (NOS) Argenta bell from the mid-1970s
appear to be made of yellow brass, not nickel
silver. It is possible that these later models
were nickel plated rather than solid nickel
silver, but it's unknown when the metal compositon
might have changed or if this example is even
representative of the product line.
